Every movement needs a place where the vision becomes real. On Saturday, June 20th, 700 South McDaniel Street in Enfield becomes that place.

Enfield Energy Futures is hosting our 2026 Revitalization Day, a community work day and celebration at the future home of the Enfield Weatherization and Innovation Lab. From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, we are bringing together neighbors, advocates, and partners from across the state to help transform a historic fixer-upper into something this region has never had: a living, working model for what energy resilience looks like when a community builds it for themselves.

This is not a conference. It is the work.

Halifax County is one of the most energy-burdened counties in North Carolina. The building at 700 South McDaniel is a physical symbol of that history, and the beginning of its reversal. On June 20th, partners will see the Weatherization and Innovation Lab concept up close, understand its connection to our BuildUS-funded Thermal Energy Network, and contribute real labor to a project already drawing national attention.
